We spend a weekend in small groups of 15-20 people, get acquainted, eat, drink, talk about different technical topics, work together, discuss together, have fun, learn new things, and go home.
IT Weekend s an experiment with simple idea: a group of IT specialists gathers for a weekend and discusses technical issues, opportunities for improvements and better performance at work, soft skills and other topics that interest them, share knowledge, have fun, create new contacts and learn new things. Many people call these "meetups", "symposiums", "hackatons" or "training camps". IT Weekend is none of these in its pure form but combines elements of them all.
For most people and organizations in the IT sphere, it is not a problem for the employee to attend a training. The problem is missing them in the office. That is why we aim that trainings are held on weekends. On the other hand, people value their weekends and prefer to spend time with their relatives and families, relaxing and having fun. IT Weekend intentionally differs from the traditional trainings, conferences and other events, allowing people to come alone or with their family and partners, learning and relaxing at the same time, making the most of their weekend.

Performance Strategy: Monitoring Production
Denitsa Evtimova
There are many different performance tests that can be made, each with different approach and different techniques that should be used. If you want to find how the system will scale, or what its breaking point is, you will need “a copy of production environment” and very complicated design load generator tests. How many companies can afford to support a copy of production just for testing? It always comes to the question of what is more expensive in terms of money, regulations, legal or failures on prod, or supporting two prod environments, one of which used for performance testing only. Denitsa will review the different cases and tell us what we can do in order to choose the right strategy.

Because it is important that you have been into the real development and testing of software, with all the related problems and challenges.
Needless to say, this is an international event, and you need to be able to freely communicate during it.
If you feel you have experience and knowledge to share, your application will be taken with priority.
The idea is people from different companies to gather, and talk about common problems, and different approaches to solve them. More than 3 people from the same company in IT Weekend would look like a company team-building, and we are not organizing this type of event (we can do a separate one for your company, if you insist). The only exception we could make is for completely different teams in the same company, where people work on totally different basis, e.g. for different clients, and people do not meet every day.
The event is taking place in:
Han Asparuh Str. 8, Ruse, Bulgaria
This is an unique opportunity to meet your colleagues from another country. Ruse is a beautiful city on the Northern Bulgarian border, just 65 km from Bucharest, 310 km from Sofia and about 315 km from Plovdiv. Ruse is called "The Little Vienna" and once you see its central square and main shopping street, you will know why. While we tried to make the event closer to our Romanian colleagues, we are confident that the folks from Sofia and Plovdiv who have not visited Ruse will be astonished by its beauty. And those who have already been in the city know it is worth the longer travel.
Centrally located in Ruse, Best Western Bistra & Galina Hotel offers luxurious accommodation in individually furnished and air-conditioned rooms. It has six national and international awards for the quality of its services.
The hotel offers a modern conference room, fast and free Internet via Wi-Fi, and strong coffee during the breaks.
You can use the swimming pool and fitness center free of charge. There is also a spa-area with jacuzzi, a Roman steam bath, an infra-red cabin, a spa capsule for anti-cellulite and slimming programmes, a vertical turbo solarium and two massage studios.
You just need to fill in the registration form. It takes about 10 minutes.
You will receive a confirmation message within 3 days, together with instructions for payment.
